Youth group #KamiNampak, has flagged four GE15 candidates for using racial and religious rhetoric while campaigning for GE15.
They are PAS’ Siti Zailah, DAP’s V. Ganabatirau, Parti Sarawak Bersatu’s Priscilla Lau, and Pejuang’s Fazli Mohammad.
The group highlighted a Nov 6 Facebook post by Siti Zailah, where she shared a video saying that Muslims should vote to ensure non-Muslim leaders do not “ruin Islam”.
V Ganabatirau was meanwhile flagged for his remarks during an interview with Selangor TV.
He was quoted saying the “flooding of foreigners is horrible” in Pasar Meru Klang, adding that it could “become like Pasar Selayang soon”.
Priscilla Lau was called out for a TikTok video she reposted on Facebook.
In the video, she was heard saying “Give us your vote and do not let the foreigners come in to look after our affairs. They have proven that they cannot do it.”
Fazli Mohammad was also flagged for a Nov 7 Facebook post, in which he had shared another user’s post.
“They worry about Malays slowly shrinking in Balik Pulau and Bayan Lepas seats that will lose its Malay majority during GE16, causing the development of luxury condominiums that Malays can only see and cannot buy,” the post read.
