Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Xolani Khumalo gets dropped by Moja Love as his loses his bodyguards.

According to information, Xolani Khumalo has lost his security guards after getting fired. 

Since his death, Robert’s family say they are waiting for the post-mortem result to prove that he was allegedly beaten up.

“As far as we know it was blunt force injuries but the way his body looked, we saw him. From his neck, until his waist he was broken, the spine, and ribs were broken, and it seemed like was choked and bled inside. There was no blood when we saw him at the hospital, and they changed him into his girlfriend’s clothes because he messed on himself twice. That is why we want the footage because they claim that the community beat him up and it is not the community. There was no community involved in this, inside the yard. We want justice to prevail.”

Initially the channel, broadcast on DStv released a statement, acknowledged the incident occurred, naming the deceased and that they would be investigating the circumstances leading up to the alleged drug dealer being taken to hospital.

Moja Love’s announcement has sparked quite the reaction from viewers who are feeling as though the channel is turning their backs on Khumalo.

Khumalo’s case has been postponed to November 21, pending a decision by the director of public prosecutions on whether the matter should be transferred to the High Court for trial. 

Some see him as a saving grace, doing the work that the authorities should be doing, and others think he is a vigilante taking the law into his own hands.

Either way, Moja Love has now parted ways with Xolani Khumala, the host of the reality show, Sizok’thola.

In a statement, Moja Love’s Nonzwakazi Cekete then distanced themselves from anything linking them to Xolani.

“Moja Love TV Channels has terminated its relationship with Mr Xolani Khumalo, presenter of one of the channel’s leading show, Sizok’thola. Shortly after the incident Khumalo handed himself over to police at the Katlehong North Police Station, were he was charged with murder and later granted R20,000 bail.

In light of the charge, Khumalo’s foundation released a statement in which they confirmed that Khumalo had handed himself over “in connection with an incident that occurred at one of the last drug busts”.

Xolani is facing a murder charge in the case of Robert Varrie, who died during the recording of one of the episodes of Sizokthola in July. Robert from Phadima Section in Katlehong, East of Joburg was allegedly assaulted during the recording and was later dropped off by the crew at Thelle Mogoerane Hospital in Vosloorus.

Xolani later handed himself over to the police and was granted R20 000 bail when he appeared in court.

After Xolani was charged, the Xolani Khumalo Foundation issued a statement saying he had acted professionally.
