Wife, Victoria Siachaba, turned into punching bag by farmer husband, Oscar Mungala

WHILE some men refrain from claims that payment of dowry gives them rights to mistreat their spouses, a man from Kazungula feels entitled to abuse his wife because he paid for her hand in marriage.

 Oscar Mungala, 25, a farmer, has turned his wife, Victoria Siachaba, into a punching bag because he gave her family a cow as dowry. Mungala was charged two cows and K800 out of which he paid one cow and the money in cash. 

This was in a case Mungala was sued for divorce by Siachaba. 

Siachaba complained that Mungala is a violent and adulterous man. 

“I am fed up of being beaten whenever I ask his whereabouts. His behaviour is unacceptable. He spends nights away from home.
