WhatsApp Web simplifies login; QR codes will be replaced by SMS codes. 




The feature is called ‘Phone Number Link’ in its beta version 2.23.14.18.The only thing Internet users need is their mobile number and a code to enter WhatsApp Web.


To link your account to WhatsApp Web quickly and easily, we will tell you the step by step.


Enter WhatsApp from your browser.

Click on the three dots located in the upper right corner.

Select option ‘Pair device’ option.

Type your phone number in the space provided.

You will receive an 8-digit verification code.


“With this feature, users can link a device using their primary account phone number and a unique code generated by WhatsApp Web ,” WhatsApp Beta reported on its website.


The removal of the QR code scanning process simplifies WhatsApp login to save users time, plus it becomes more accessible for users, which improves the overall experience.


Previously, users would have to link their account with the web version through a QR code. However, they can now easily link the account with their phone number. 


Users will find a new option when attempting to link a new device. They can link a device with their “primary account phone number” and a “one-time code generated by WhatsApp Web”. 


For that, you need to open WhatsApp Web on the desktop device you wish to link and then select the “link with phone number” option.


“After entering your phone number along with your country, you should be prompted with an 8-character code that you need to enter into WhatsApp after receiving a notification,” the WhatsApp watcher added. What you need to know

WhatsApp’s latest beta release on Android allows you to sign in to your account on the web without scanning a QR code.

The alternative login method is available now to a wider group of beta testers who downloaded the latest beta version of WhatsApp.

You’ll see the new option when you try to link your account to your PC, with a new button showing up below the QR code scanner.

Meta has given WhatsApp a steady stream of updates over the past few years, with the ability to sign in to multiple devices being a key focus. The messaging platform is now experimenting with a new login method on the web that does not require scanning a QR code.
