Barcelona football star, Lionel Messi, has disappointed alot of fans this night after he missed his penalty at 45 minutes and 3 minutes of additional stoppage time. Fans of Barca are currently roasting him for missing that incredible penalty.
Messi’s missed penalty has caused his club not to move on the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League. Paris Saint-Germain F.C. (PSG) has moved in grand style to the quarter-finals of the ongoing tournament.
Messi’s incredible goal came in at exactly 36 minutes and 9 minutes to stoppage time. His shot was power and amazing. He defeated PSG’s goalkeeper, Keylor Navas with his shot but couldn’t defeat him at the penalty shoot out. Barcelona was awarded a penalty after PSG’s Layvin Kurzawa clipped Antoine Griezmann. The match ended at 1:1 (draw).
Mbappe happened to be the hero of the night after he successfully made the ball go into the net at penalty shootout. He would have also scored another goal but he missed it. Cristiano Ronaldo didn’t make it to the quarter-finals for Juventus. Since 2004/2005, tonight made it the second time that Cristiano and Messi won’t be at the quarter-finals. The first time was in 2004/05 UEFA tournament.
