A family source said Mr Muhammed, 23, was picked up by officers on November 8 on the campus ground of Federal University Dutse, Jigawa. The student was reportedly subjected to severe beating by the officers following his arrest at about 12:00 noon.

It was further gathered that 23-year-old Muhammed was picked up by officers of the Department of State Services on November 8 on campus and was reportedly beaten up following his arrest around noon. Meanwhile, some Twitter users including Nigerian Journalist, David Hundeyin have heavily criticised the First Lady, with some describing her action as an abuse of power.
On Tuesday, Mr Macaroni, via his Twitter account, criticised Aisha Buhari, telling her to stop abusing her position and to file any complaints with the appropriate authorities.
Mr Macaroni went on to say that because he was a “victim of persecution,” he had a lot to say about situations like Mohammed’s.
He wrote, “Madam First Lady, you are not God. If you have any grievance whatsoever go to court!!!
“You are not bigger than the citizens of Nigeria, neither are you bigger than the law!!
