An immediate order to stop boat trips to the sandbar was issued by Aumentado today. The Department of the Environment and Natural Resources in Central Visayas (DENR-7) is currently conducting a probe on the reported excessive charging of food meals by vendors on Virgin Island, in Panglao, Bohol. (Read More Here).


A netizen shared that a group of tourists paid over P26,000 for food on the Virgin Island of Panglao, Bohol.


Vilma Uy’s Facebook post has raised questions about the price of seafood sold as part of the island-hopping tour in the province.


“Ingon ani na diay kamahal ang pagkaon sa Virgin Island, Bohol? (Is this how expensive food at Virgin Island, Bohol is?),” Uy said Monday.


She also took a photo of the handwritten written bill where oysters and scallops were priced at P3,000, while the squid was at P2,500.
