Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Yung Joc shaves his head after announcing in a VladTV interview that he would do it if Tory Lanez was found guilty. (Read More Here).
Yung Joc had to lose his hair to honor a bet he lost regarding the Tory Lanez Megan Thee Stallion trial, where the Canadian singer was found guilty on all counts.
On Tuesday (December 27), Joc showed he’s a man of his word by letting his fellow Morning Takeover host, Shyneka, proudly shave his head. The former rapper looked uncomfortable with the haircut but stuck through it to get the complete look.
In a clip shared on Instagram, Joc is seen preparing for the moment of truth after someone brought food for him as his “last meal.” His co-host finally gets to work on his head and claimed: “This [is] for Meg thee Stallion. This [is] for Meg and Roc Nation.”
In a clip from an interview with VladTV, the Atlanta native vowed to shave his head bald if Tory Lanez was found guilty — which ultimately happened.
He added: “I can’t wait to see how this video turns out. Either way, this is a very unfortunate situation. Just through the eyes of watching it, I don’t ever want anyone to feel like I’m making fun of their situation, ’cause it’s very unfortunate and it’s very bad for our culture, but I pray that this plays out fair.”
Following eight days of trial, nearly two days of closing arguments and a day of deliberations, a grand jury found Tory Lanez guilty of all three charges levied against him.
Well, on December 23, a jury secured the arrest of the Canadian native. His conviction includes discharging a firearm with gross negligence and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle. The jury also found Lanez guilty of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, which involves Megan Thee Stallion‘s injuries.
After Joc’s clip resurfaced online and The Shade Room posted it on Instagram, Vlad revealed that Joc planned to follow through. And on Tuesday, Joc did.
“Lost a bet. I thought it was going to be a goddamn mistrial,” Yung Joc said.
He added that he had to honor the bet, then joked about plans to tattoo his bald head. But while Joc and his 94.5 Streetz-FM co-worker Jazzy McBee laughed over the new look, Megan Thee Stallion found the situation with Lanez traumatizing rather than comical. Though she’s previously spoken about the incident, she detailed how the shooting railroaded her internally while testifying in court.
While on the stand, Megan tearfully testified that Tory offered her $1 million to keep quiet about the shooting. She also revealed that the incident drove her toward suicidal thoughts.
