Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that US singer, Teyana Taylor, has finally finally revealed why she went on the singing competition show as she emerges the winner of The Masked Singer season 7.

On Wednesday (18 May), Firefly wowed judges Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy, Ken Jeong, and Nicole Scherzinger with her flawless rendition of Thicke’s own “Lost Without U”.

Earlier in the episode, The Prince revealed himself as actor Cheyenne Jackson, when he was the first to be eliminated after his cover of “Viva la Vida” by Coldplay.

Next, in a tense anticipatory moment, Firefly was announced the victor, leaving Ringmaster to reveal herself as actor Hayley Orrantia, in spite of her best effort’s belting Katy Perry’s “Wake Up In Vegas”.

When asked why she agreed to be on The Masked Singer, Taylor implied that she wanted to be able to perform for fun without the pressure of fame. “I was like, this would be something really nice to do and just be able to sing again,” she explained. “It would be fun again and there’s no judgement. Nobody knows who’s behind the mask. You just get to sing your heart out.”

Other musical contestants this season included En Vogue as Queen Cobras, Shaggy as Space Bunny, and Jennifer Holliday as Miss Teddy. Earlier in season seven, Rudy Giuliani was unmasked as Jack in the Box in a particularly controversial episode that led to panelist Ken Jeong leaving the stage in protest.

The Shade Room wrote: “PressPlay: Guess what #Roommates! #TeyanaTaylor has been named the winner of The Masked Singer season 7! Yass, our girl absolutely killed it as Firefly this season.🔥 But be honest #Roomies, did y’all know it was her?”
