According to a police spokeswoman, a car drove into a demonstration by the Verdi trade union in Munich this morning. Warning strikes are taking place in Munich and elsewhere on Thursday in connection with wage negotiations in the federal and municipal public sector.
The incident occurred in the area of the intersection between Dachauer Strasse and Seidlstrasse in the city center, not far from Munich Central Station. Traffic was disrupted around the scene. According to them, “around 20” injured people were treated. Rescue helicopters were also deployed.
