Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Suspect, Edmilson do Nascimento, burnt his ex-wife, Michelle Pinto da Silva, alive at Augusto Vasconcelos train station in viral video.
The man who set the woman on fire fled along the tracks. The Rio de Janeiro Military Police were called to the incident and reported that upon arriving at the scene, the victim was being helped by a team from the Fire Department.
According to preliminary information, a man identified as Edmilson Felix do Nascimento, aged 44, allegedly threw alcohol and set fire to Michele Pinto while she was waiting for the train and fled along the tracks.
The victim, the ex-wife of the perpetrator, was promptly rescued by firefighters and taken in serious condition to the Rocha Faria Municipal Hospital, in Campo Grande, West Zone of Rio.
The couple separated due to their troubled relationship. Last month, Edmilson broke into Michele’s house and damaged the furniture. The victim subsequently filed a complaint and received a protective measure.
Military police officers from the Railway Policing Group (GPFER) were also called and the case was registered at the 35th DP (Campo Grande). Efforts are underway to locate the perpetrator of the crime, who is on the run.
