Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Shock as Jeezy told Nia Long that real niggas don’t cheat during interview.
Speaking broadly about love and family, Jeezy, 46, told Long, 53, in a video shared on his YouTube channel Tuesday that he “can’t honestly tell you that I’ve experienced love, especially not unconditional.”
The “Put On” rapper added that he prefers to keep many of the details of their split private. “So one was not feeling safe and protected when you were molested, right, [and] two was a void of love and compassion and acceptance from your mom, and then the third one was, ‘Okay now I’m going to completely disconnect from myself here because there is no love here and I’m going to go to the streets,'” Long said to Jeezy. “When I left my mother’s house, I had to be about 13, 14,” he said. “The reason why I left is because she pulled a gun on me and basically told me, like, ‘You either going to either do what I say or I’m going to take you out this world.'”
Jeezy admitted that he and Mai tried therapy to save their marriage, but it was not enough. “I can only do what I can do. I can’t expect someone else to do what I’m doing,” he said.
On Oct. 19, he broke his silence on the couple’s split, telling People and E! News in a statement that “The decision to end this chapter in my life was not made impulsively and comes with a heavy heart. Despite this, my love and respect for Jeannie remains and the time we spent together holds a cherished place in my heart.”
According to the divorce documents, Jeezy is seeking joint legal custody of their daughter Monaco, born in January 2022.
The “Adversity for Sale: Ya Gotta Believe” author added in his conversation with Long that despite what happens in her personal life and career, he wants his children to know, “I’m a great person. I’m a great father.”
Jeezy is also a father to three other children from previous relationships: sons Jadarius Jenkins and Shyheim Jenkins and daughter Amra Nor Jenkins.
The rapper added that in addition to his positive traits, he’s “also somebody who’s failed. I’m also somebody who’s lost. I’m also somebody who, my life plays out in public a lot.”
