Despite being disbanded by the Federal Government and the Nigerian Police Force, SARS (Special Anti-Robbery Squad) operatives returned. This time, they came back with full force.
In a trending video on social media captured by an eyewitness, SARS operatives are seen at Palms Shoprite as they tried to arrest an unharmed shopper.
In the video, the unseen and harassed man, is heard telling the SARS operatives that they have no right to arrest him because he hasn’t done anything wrong. The SARS operatives stood as they continued to look at the unharmed shopper sitting on the floor.
This incident happened at Palms Shoprite, located at Toll Gate, Along Abule-egba expressway, Sango Ota Ogun State. In October 2020, Nigerian youths took to the streets and roads of most states in Nigeria to protest against the brutality from FSARS operatives. Government stepped in abit and said it has disbanded the division of the police force (SARS). That’s a lie!
