A few days ago, residents of Soweto Pimville spent a day and night blocking the roads with “red bricks” to protest against lack of electricity in the area for months now.
According to a resident of Pimville, tells Kossyderrickent that they aren’t owing a dime for power supply and phones have been placed to Eskom’s head office, but left them with unfulfilled promises.
“We don’t owe money for electricity here. In fact, we’ve been paying, but Eskom has refused to give us electricity. We have called them, only for them to give us unfulfilled promises. It’s been over six months without electricity, shame.”
The zone mostly affected by the lack of power supply in Soweto Pimville is Last garage Mayibuye.
