The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari, has finally addressed Nigerians after weeks of protests in the country.
He addressed Nigerians at 7PM on Thursday on via Channels in Nigeria. In his speech, he says the Government has finally heard the requests of Nigerian youths on the issue of 5for5.
He said that protesting is the fundamental human right of the citizens. He also told Nigerian citizens to carry on with their various businesses as security operatives will be sent to protect lives and properties. He mentioned a few things on the increment of salaries for policemen and teachers.
He urged Nigerian youths to desist from any form of violence. He stated all of the aforementioned but he failed to critically address the killings and shootings at Lekki Toll Gate on the 20th of October.
