This trend caught traction after a news piece claiming that Jeremy passed away in an escalator accident went viral.
Jeremy Renner had gotten into a snow plow accident on January 1, but he started his journey to recovery soon after. As far as we know, the actor is fit and hasn’t faced any health scares after. The actor also took to his story to post a snap of a bear with the American flag in its mouth two hours ago. The hashtag #RIPJeremyRenner started trending on Twitter on Saturday after people started circulating hoax news of the Marvel actor dying in an escalator accident. However, the reports are false. The 52-year-old actor, who met snow-plough accident earlier this year, is doing fine.
The actor, best known for his role as Hawkeye in the Avengers franchise, suffered injuries in a snowplow accident outside his Nevada residence on New Year’s Day, 2023. Renner suffered a collapsed chest, orthopedic injuries, and over 30 broken bones in the accident. He was hospitalised for several days.
In March, he shared an Instagram video, giving fans an update on his health.
“I’ve decided to push through the pain of progress (this damn shattered tibia) and take the new parts for a tiny test drive. The body is miraculous,” he captioned the video.
“Even though I feel like the Tin Man, needing oil for all my new joints (hips, knees, ankles, tibia, etc.),” the actor continued, “encouraged after this warm-up to press on (don’t tell my PT).”
