One thing about Cardi B, she never forgets where she came from! The rapper decided to visit her old middle school to surprise students this Tuesday and even gave a big sweet gift that would benefit the kids down the line.
Clips shared online show Cardi at I.S. 232 in NYC’s Morris Heights neighborhood, where she did 3 years — 6th through 8th grade. While there, she had an open conversation with the students about what they enjoy during school, their favorite teacher, and also gave them some helpful advice.
Before leaving, Cardi presented the school with a $100,000 donation! That’s right. The female MC explained that she wants to see her donation go towards after-school programs like music, dance as well tutoring. The great gesture came as a shock to the staff and principal who had no idea Cardi was even showing up to her old stomping ground.
