An Ex-NYSC corper, OMINIGBO Iyanuoluwa Adeola, who went viral for saluting her mother after returning from youth service, has been employed by a popular Fintech company, InterSwitchGRP Nigeria.
Taking to her Twitter page, Iyanuoluwa, revealed that she has gotten a job with InterSwitch after her emotional video went viral on social media in December 2020. In the video, she shared a bit of her story after her iconic video went viral.
According to her, she’s from a family of three; her mother, her brother (only) and her. She says she saluted her mother because it wasn’t easy for her single mother, who sent her to school (from Nursery to the University). She says InterSwitch wasn’t the only firm that reached out to her after the video went viral. There were other companies that did.
When saluting her mother, she said: “When your mother singlehandedly raises you, borrows money to send you to school, has sleepless night praying for you and you eventually become a Corper. She deserves wayyy more than 3 hearty cheers.”
She wrote on Twitter: “A simple gesture that took less than 2 mins went viral and became an internet sensation.
Not only has it pushed me to the world but it earned me a position with Africa’s biggest Fintech Unicorn @InterswitchGRP
Here’s me telling story of amazing grace the #INTERSWITCH story.”
