Nollywood actress, Sotonye Green, has died of COVID-19 after the isolation centre failed her medically. Her death was announced by a colleague and a best friend in the Nigerian movie industry.


Taking to her Instagram page, Nollywood actress, DEBBY EMOKPAIRE, popularly known as, Debby King, announced the passing of her colleague, Sotonye Green. According to her, Green died of coronavirus after being neglected due to corruption and bribery at Yaba Isolation Centre.


Sharing a video on Instagram, Debby, blamed the death of Sotonye Green on the negligence of health workers at Yaba Isolation Centre. She continued as she revealed how Green’s oxygen was taken from her to the highest bidder – effect of corruption. 


Debby King wrote:

“I never thought I would be saying goodbye so soon. Rest in peace my bestie. May God forgive all your sins and accept your soul into paradise in Jesus name, Amen!

In another news, another popular actor, Mela David Mela, had died of an unknown illness a few days ago in January 2021. In September 2020, late David took to his Instagram page to announce that he’s sick and his fans should put him in prayers. Unfortunately, he died in 2021.
