So sad! A Nigerian man has jumped off a high-rise building in Lagos State during EFCC raid. According to reports, the incident took place on Thursday morning at 1004 Housing Estate, Victoria Island, Lagos.
According to reports, a Nigerian man had reported jumped from Block D5 at 7th floor of 1004 Housing Estate, Victoria Island, Lagos during raid by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). According to reports, the deceased isn’t a permanent resident in the building.
The EFCC and the Nigerian policemen were at 1004 Housing Estate, Victoria Island, to arrest a group of suspected Yahoo Yahoo boys (Internet scammer). During the raid, the deceased jumped to his death.
The Police Public Relations Officer in Lagos State, Muyiwa Adejobi, has confirmed the passing away of the EFCC raid victim. According to officer Muyiwa, the deceased sustained some injuries and was rushed to the hospital. Despite being placed on oxygen, he still didn’t make it. He said:
“It was true. He was not even the target of the EFCC when he jumped from the seventh floor. We were told that he was not a resident but a guest. It is quite unfortunate. He was taken to the hospital after he had sustained fractures and he was placed on oxygen but gave up the ghost. We are trying to ascertain his identity. Once that is done, we will contact his family.”
