When Nnamdi Kanu said President Buhari’s regime will bring about “forced Islamization”, he was attacked by the APC members and some Islamic fanatics. He was called names and tagged a “coward.
Although that isn’t the case this time. The news or video about Boko Haram converting residents in Niger state to Islam is fake. The fake news was spread by former minister, Femi Fani-Kayode on his Twitter page this morning, which led to wide uproar among Nigerians.
Nigerians began to react out of fear to the video. Now, after much findings, our reporters found out that video going viral is not exactly what happened. The event took place in Ivory Coast, not in Nigeria. Secondly, the video isn’t about anyone being forced to become Muslims.
It’s a grieving incident which took place in Ivory Coast. A popular Tiktoker, Brahima Kine543, shared a lot of videos from the events or ceremony. Fani-Kayode took to his Twitter page to misinform Nigerians by sharing a video from the sad incident that took place in Ivory Coast.
