Muhamad Hafiz, the p-hailing rider who was killed in the plane crash near Elmina, had insurance coverage, says Foodpanda.




It says all Foodpanda riders are automatically insured for free during working hours, and their next-of-kin will be eligible to receive compensation.


On Aug 17, Muhamad Hafiz, was killed in a plane crash incident on the Guthrie Highway at Elmina, Shah Alam.


“Foodpanda extends its condolences to Muhamad Hafiz’s family.



“He was one of foodpanda’s best riders,” the company said in a Facebook post on Saturday (Aug 19) together with his picture.


In the comments section, the company also stated that Muhamad Hafiz was insured, which was in response to a user who asked if Muhammad Hafiz’s family would be taken care of.

“All foodpanda riders are automatically insured for free during working hours. As such the family will be receiving compensation based on the related benefit.


The motorcyclist who lost his life in the plane crash near Elmina, Shah Alam, has been recognized as Foodpanda’s Best Rider.


“Salam takziah dari kami foodpanda kepada keluarga Allahyarham,” it states in a Facebook post.
