Nigerian comedian, Debo “Mr. Macaroni” Adedayo, has dropped a new comedy skit, titled, “One Coward, 39 Heroes.” His comedy skit is a true life experience of his arrest during Occupy Lekki Toll Gate protest on February 13, 2021.
In the new comedy skit, Mr. Macaroni is seen while having a telephone conversation with his mother. His mother tells him not to join the protest. He tells his mother that he won’t join. Not too long, his father calls him and pleads with him not to join the protest. He tells his dad that he won’t.
He leaves his house to the shooting location for his comedy skit at Lekki Phase 1. He gets to the location, greets his crew and demands his normal attire for the comedy skit. He checks his phone and sees Nigerians tweeting about #OccupyLekkiTollGate.
He jumps on a bike as he heads straight to Lekki Toll Gate to see what’s happening there. He gets to the Toll gate and the police begin to harass him. He heads straight to his Instagram for a live video to show his fans how the policemen were harassing him.
After harassing him, he gets thrown into a black van. While in the Black Maria, he sees a protester, Damilare; who happens to be an Influencer and a lawyer student. Not too long again, another set of protesters were thrown into the black van.
The policemen take them to Adeniji police station, where they were harassed, beaten and mocked. Mr. Macaroni gets mocked by a few policemen, including a policewoman; who tells him to freaky her account. In the end, they were released but charged N100K and a compulsory COVID-19 test.
