Ryan Gosling proved he is “Kenough” at the 2024 Oscars when he took to the stage to sing “I’m Just Ken” from Barbie.

“I’m Just Ken,” written by Ronson and Andrew Wyatt, was one of Barbie’s eight Oscar nominations, which also included Best Picture and Best Supporting Actor for Gosling. In the Oscar for Best Original Song category, in addition to “What Was I Made For?,” it was up against “The Fire Inside” by oft-nominated Diane Warren, from Flamin’ Hot; “It Never Went Away,” by Jon Batiste from the Netflix documentary about him and his wife Suleika Jaouad, American Symphony; and “Wahzhazhe (A Song for My People),” by the Osage Tribal Singers, Killers of the Flower Moon.

From Los Angeles on Sunday, Gosling had fans around the world — and inside the Dolby Theatre — singing along to the Oscar-nominated hit as he performed an unforgettable rendition of Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt’s hit, which is nominated for Best Original Song this year.

This was not before he and Emily Blunt, also a star of Oppenheimer, had a fake spat on stage about the films’ rivalries – dubbed Barbenheimer, which dominated summer cinema.

Elsewhere, Da’Vine Joy Randolph clinched the best supporting actress Oscar for The Holdovers, which was presented by previous winners in the category – who each gave a heartfelt introduction about the nominees.

The actress, who played a kitchen manager in the boarding school drama, was tearful as she paid tribute to her mother for encouraging her to pursue acting.
