Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Male Xolos Tijuana fan shot in the head by Chivas fan during heated fight in Caliente stadium.


Violence was once again present in Mexican soccer. This time at the Caliente stadium, where Chivas and Xolos played their game in the second round of the Liga MX.
According to reports on social media, a fight in the stands spread to the parking lot of the stadium, where a Tijuana fan was shot and injured in the head.

A video is circulating on social media showing a dozen men involved in a fight in the stands with no security personnel to try to calm things down. One of the participants, wearing a Xolos shirt and white trousers, is captured in another video, outside the stadium, lying on the ground and unconscious.

According to the newspaper Zeta, it was around 10:35 p.m. that the emergency services received the report of the attack, which was attended to by municipal police and paramedics, who transferred the injured man to an IMSS clinic in serious condition. 

On April 10, Mikel Arriola, CEO of Liga MX, said during the “Safe Football Meeting” held in Zapopan that the institution he presides is responsible for dealing with what happens inside the stadiums, but that incidents outside of them are the responsibility of local security authorities.
