Yesterday, a video of a COVID-19 patient, who was being carried away to the isolation went viral on all social media platforms. That’s not the problem.
The problems are the fact that the COVID-19 Rapid Response Team didn’t wear the right outfits, such as: Gloves, face masks and protective suits and face shields while evacuating the suspected COVID-19 patient and how the suspected COVID-19 patient was manhandled during the evacuation.
The Kwara State Government has released an official statement stating that the driver has been sacked.
The statement reads: “Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on Wednesday directed the sack of a government driver that unilaterally attended to an unkempt person who was evacuated with a COVID-19 ambulance in Ilorin”
