The Animalist Party for the Environment (PACMA) and other organisations have publicly denounced this Monday the atrocious murder of a cat in Aldeire . The Happycatspain Rescue association, which operates in Granada, has stated that a group of young people from the municipality are responsible, as they insist that they took photos with the animal after killing it in the town square and then hung it on the balcony of the house of “its feeder”
“We only want those responsible for this murder to be tried before a judge for what they have done and for the case not to be closed,” the animal rights association said. They also stressed that “we hope that no further damage or pressure is caused to the feeder and carer of these cats.” They also maintain that the Aldeire Town Hall knows who the perpetrators of this outrage are. “This act of cruelty is not only unacceptable, but also reflects a serious lack of respect for animal life and the basic principles of coexistence,” they lamented.
On the other hand, Pacma has demanded that the local council “take effective measures to protect animals.” Happycatspain Rescate has announced that this Sunday there will be a rally outside the town hall to demand justice for Samurai, the murdered cat.
