Jordin Sparks is the latest celebrity jumping to Chris Brown’s defense following his “American Music Awards” performance snub on Sunday. Just one day after Kelly Rowland spoke out, stressing that people deserve to be forgiven, the “Tattoo” singer, who famously collaborated with Breezy on their 2008 song “No Air,” is echoing similar words as she threw her support behind Chris on Tuesday.

Jordin was spotted out and about in New York when TMZ caught up with her to ask about her thoughts on the recent drama pertaining to Chris being told his tribute to Michael Jackson at the “AMAs” had been canceled at the last minute. “We love Chris, he should have been there,” the “American Idol” winner said while signing autographs.

When asked whether people should learn how to move on from people’s past mistakes, Jordin interjected, saying that the topic at hand shouldn’t even be a conversation because it ultimately came down to Chris’ talent. The 32-year-old went on to strongly imply that his personal matters should not have influenced producers’ decision to bail on him, especially since he had already been booked to grace the stage.
