Jerry Tshepiso Ditshego shot dead in Mabopane, Pretoria. It is alleged that the victim was shot multiple times outside a tarven Bev Joint in Mabopane.
A video went viral on social media after Jerry Tshepiso Ditshego was shot and killed on Friday in Pretoria.
It is alleged that the victim was shot multiple times outside a tavern known as Bev Joint in Mabopane. The incident occurred on Friday, 17 February, when the 41 year old mechanic died in a hail of bullets. It is alleged Ditshego was sitting outside a pub in Block C with friends around 11 pm, someone allegedly called his name and when he looked bullets were unleashed on him.
IN A statement believed to be from Bev Joint the location denied the incident happened in their premises. Another venue Beehive Café also released a statement saying the incident didn’t happen on their premises but at another location within the neighborhood.
The police have opened a case of murder and investigating details of the incident. A social media user commented on the shooting by saying:
“We’re losing a young generation because we’re not able to solve the conflict, claiming a life can never be a solution. Pretoria used to be safe but now we’re talking a different story. Our condolences to his family, it’s about time we stopped the culture of going out on weekends, we’re losing our loved ones now. May his soul rest in peace.”
