Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Japanese reporter, Kiyomi Nakamura, cried as Vini Jr was crying at racism question during press conference in viral footage.
Vinicius faced the press on Monday ahead of a blockbuster friendly clash between his home nation and the country he has lived in since 2018. Spain has, however, also been the setting of countless incidents of racist abuse aimed in his direction, prompting some reporters to question him on the subject. The 23-year-old was unable to hide his emotion and broke down in tears, calling for the end of “suffering for black people” before being met with applause.
He added: “I have never thought about leaving Spain, because that would be giving the racists what they want.
“I’m not going to leave the best club in the world.
“I’m going to remain firm and strong because the president and the club support me.”
Vinicius Jr, 23, received such support from Sevilla in October as the club removed a fan for allegedly displaying “xenophobic and racist behaviour” towards him during their match.
