Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Footage shows moment police getting arrested Ammon Bundy in handcuffs over St. Luke’s bogus defamation lawsuit at son’s football fundraiser event at Gem County Sheriff’s office, Emmett.

CBS2 is working to confirm if his arrest is related to the warrant for arrest over contempt of court that was issued after Bundy refused to show up to court for a lawsuit filed by St. Luke’s Health System for defamation and harassment.

A video posted by KTVB’s Morgan Romero on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, shows Bundy being led from the fundraiser in handcuffs.

The arrest follows a legal battle between St. Luke’s Health System and Bundy, in which jurors levied more than $50 million in damages for defamation against Bundy, his gubernatorial campaign, the People’s Rights Network and Diego Rodriguez.

Rodriguez and Bundy organized protests of the hospital system because of a child welfare case involving Rodriguez’s son.

In July, after a default judgement, a jury ordered Bundy to pay $26 million, part of the total $52.5 million ordered between him and his fellow defendants. About half of that was in compensatory damages and the other half in punitive damages.

The lawsuit is in response to what the health system calls a “smear campaign” consisting of harassment, false statements and trespassing. St. Luke’s claims the defendants incited a protest at a hospital in Boise , resulting in a lockdown that interfered with patient care and diverted ambulances.
