What stirred your interest in technology?
One of my biggest motivations is solving everyday problems that plague our nation and continent. It pains me to see citizens suffer when technology can help.
What exactly do you do?
Aside being an industrial designer and product developer, I am also the co-founder of the Nupe Project, a tech and design start-up. It is an initiative focused on solving challenges affecting many Third World countries, while simultaneously fostering the ignored one per cent of African talent in hardware development.
Today’s digital nomad is a design engineer who has worked in 4 continents: Africa, Asia, Europe, and North America. After designing tech-enabled devices and shoes for Tecno, AFA Sports, and Thando’s, Funfere Koroye now lives in the UK where he is an Ambassador for TechNation and CEO of hardware and innovation startup Nupay Technologies (Nupay Tech)
