Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Footage shows moment 50 Cent threw and hit a female fan, Bryhana Monegain, with a microphone at a concert.
During the rap star’s sold out Final Lap tour stop at L.A.’s Crypto.com Arena on Wednesday night (Aug. 30), technical difficulties with several of his mics led to Fif becoming angered at the production crew. At one point during his set, he flung his microphone in the direction of the production area, which landed on the victim’s forehead.
50 Cent is a suspect in criminal battery after throwing his microphone twice in frustration at it not working and hitting a woman who has since filed a police report.
50 Cent’s attorney, Scott Leemon, denied the allegations that his client intentionally tossed the mic in her face. “Let’s be very clear, as I told LAPD this afternoon, my client Curtis would never intentionally strike anyone with a microphone,” Leemon told Us Weekly in a statement on Thursday, August 31. “Anyone saying something different doesn’t have all the facts and is misinformed.”
50 Cent previously gushed about his L.A. show via his social media feeds. “My LA show was SIRE approved, he said man that was crazy! My little man could feel the love. 😆,” 50 Cent wrote via Instagram earlier on Thursday, sharing a backstage pic with his son.
The woman, who has been identified as Power 106 radio host Bryhana Monegain, suffered a laceration on her head as a result and went to a local hospital after the incident. Monegain has since filed a police report against the rap star, accusing him of looking directly at her before throwing the mic.
According to TMZ, the victim’s account seemingly alleges that the injury was intentional, rather than accidental. Page Six sources say the victim was in a restricted area of the arena that she was prohibited from being in at the time the incident occurred.
50 Cent’s mic-throwing incident is the second such occurrence to make headlines in Hip-Hop in recent months. In late July, Cardi B was listed as a suspect for battery after hurling a microphone at a woman in a crowd during a performance. Cardi, who threw the mic after a drink was tossed on her by the victim, was ultimately cleared of all charges in relation to the incident.

Several hours later, 50 Cent proclaimed that he couldn’t wait to “turn up for real positive vibes” in Chula Vista, California, on Wednesday night.
50 Cent rose to fame in the late ‘90s, releasing hit singles “In Da Club,” “Window Shopper” and “21 Questions.” He as also branched out into acting, starring in the likes of Get Rich or Die Trying and the Power franchise. In addition to acting and producing the STARZ series, 50 Cent also created several of the show’s memorable musical moments.
