Footage of the suicide attack on JI chief Siraj Ul Haq in Zhob. One JI worker has died while 5-7 people are injured.




“JI emir Siraj reached Quetta today and had to go further to Zhob where he has a political gathering today. When he was entering Zhob and people were welcoming him, a person came and blew himself up,” party spokesperson Qaisar Sharif said in a video message.


“Everybody was safe in the suicide attack and there was no loss of lives. According to initial information, only some cars have been damaged and a few people have sustained injuries.”


“JI leadership is safe,” he added. Balochistan Chief Minister Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, while condemning the blast, expressed satisfaction over the safety of Jamaat-e-Islami chief in the terrorist incident.


He said that he will not allow the terrorist elements and their patrons to succeed in their nefarious ambitions. He said he is deeply saddened that five people were injured in the incident, adding that he is grateful to the Almighty who protected the Sirajul Haq and his colleagues.


Foreign Minister and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari condemned the explosion near Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Sirajul Haq’s convoy in Zhob and expressed good wishes for him.


He expressed his condolences to the families of those who died in the blast and directed immediate treatment of those injured in the blast. Bilawal also directed an immediate investigation into the incident. “All those responsible for the blast should be brought to justice,” he maintained.


Former President Asif Ali Zardari also condemned the suicide attack near the convoy of Sirajul Haq and demanded immediate arrest of those behind the attack.


While expressing good wishes for Haq, the PPP co-chairmain also prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured in the blast.
