Lt. Pamela Castro briefs the media at 3 a.m. on the mass shooting in Colorado Springs that left 18 injured and five dead at a gay and lesbian nightclub.
The suspect is in custody and is being treated at a hospital. The next media briefing with additional information is scheduled for 8 a.m.
Club Q wrote: “Club Q is devastated by the senseless attack on our community.
“Our prays and thoughts are with all the victims and their families and friends.
“We thank the quick reactions of heroic customers that subdued the gunman and ended this hate attack.”
