Keimani was last seen at her residence in North Toledo. Her grandmother, Dorothy Latigue, reported her missing after returning home to find the house in disarray, with the stove emitting gas and Keimani’s essential belongings, including her glasses, left behind.
An arrest warrant has been issued for Keimani’s father, 33-year-old Darnell Jones, on charges of abduction. Court documents allege that Jones was the last person seen with Keimani and has provided inconsistent statements regarding her whereabouts. Phone records, surveillance footage, and witness testimonies have been instrumental in the investigation.
Family members, including Keimani’s mother, Tiara Kasten, were present at the scene where the body was found. Kasten expressed frustration over the lack of information, stating, “I just want to know if it’s my baby. They’re still not telling me nothing.”
The Lucas County Coroner’s Office is expected to confirm the identity and determine the cause of death. Authorities are urging anyone with information on Darnell Jones’s whereabouts to contact the Toledo Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 419-255-1111.
All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
