The president of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Deputies, Santiago Creel Miranda , had a slip during Thursday’s session, when he mistook a fellow legislator for a drug kingpin.
“We consulted the deputy Salvador Caro Quintero , Cabrera, sorry, an apology Salvador Caro Cabrera,” said Creel, while directing the plenary session in San Lázaro .
The mistake of the PAN legislator caused laughter among the deputies present, and made him blush, bringing his hand to his forehead while shaking his head in shame.
During this Thursday’s session, Congress received the 2023 Economic Package from the Secretary of Finance and Public Credit, Rogelio Ramírez de la O.
The federal official said that the finances are healthy, “despite the high cost of the gasoline subsidy to avoid the increase in inflation levels.”
