Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Dead body of Filipino domestic staff, Jubilee Ranara, lands in The Philippines after she was raped, killed and burnt by 17-year-old boy from Kuwait.

Kuwait Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Salem Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah has vowed that the perpetrator in killing of Filipina household worker Jullebee Ranara will be punished for the crime.

Based on a statement of the Philippine Embassy in Kuwait, Sheikh Salem met with Philippine Chargé d’Affaires Jose Cabrera on Sunday to condemn the killing of Ranara, whose burned body was found in the desert

“He (Sheikh Salem) condemned her murder and said that the perpetrator, who has been arrested and is currently in detention, will be punished for this heinous crime,” the statement read.


The foreign minister asked Cabrera to convey his condolences to the family and the Philippine government for the death of Ranara.


The official also explained that the actions of the suspect do not reflect the character and values of Kuwaiti society, the Kuwaiti people, and the Kuwaiti government.


Cabrera, on his part, expressed appreciation for the Kuwaiti authorities’ cooperation and assistance, particularly for their swift action in the apprehension of the suspect and in the clearances for the shipment of Ranara’s remains.


Her remains were brought back to Manila on Friday night. The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) is set to perform an autopsy as requested by her family.


Sheikh Salem said the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs will provide the Philippine Embassy all necessary assistance for the monitoring of Ranara’s case.


Currently, there is no deployment ban to Kuwait following Ranara’s death.


The government is already processing the repatriation of the remains of Jullebee Ranara, the Pinay Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) who was killed, run over and burned by the 17-year-old son of his employer in Kuwait. According to Toby Nebrida, spokesperson of the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), they are still waiting for clearance so that the OFW’s remains can be sent home to the Philippines. The agency thanked the Kuwaiti authorities for the quick arrest of the suspect


Earlier this week, Jubilee Ranara who was an overseas Filipino employee in the Middle Eastern Country, Kuwait, was allegedly killed by her employer’s son. As a result of this brutal behavior with Filipino workers, OFWs opted to return home. As per the reports, a batch of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) has come to the Philippines from Kuwait after Jubilee Ranara’s death. Reportedly, The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration confirmed on Friday that a batch of OFWs containing 80 overseas Filipino workers arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 at 5:40 am on January 27, 2023.
