(Video) Davido Reveals The Reason He Wants To Copyright "E Choke"

Nigerian singer, David Adedeji Adeleke, popularly known as, Davido, has said he wants to copyright his popular slang, “E Choke.” According to him, he says the usage is getting out of hand. (Read More Here).

Taking to his Twitter page, Davido, revealed his intention to copyright his most popular slang, “E Choke.” Tule was also his slang but it wasn’t as popular as “E Choke.” (Read More Here).

“E Choke” is ambiguous in nature – it means many things, such as: Wonderful, amazing, great things, etc. The main reason Davido wants to trademark his slang is because the use of “E Choke” by people is becoming too much. If he doesn’t trademark it, someone else might. (Read More Here).

Davido won’t be the first person to trademark his slang or name. BBNaija Ka3na has trademarked her nickname, “BossLady.” Yesterday, Wizkid brought his slang, which is “E Don Spoil.” Most Nigerians don’t know what it means aside from its original meaning, which is “It has spoilt.”

Davido wrote: “Gotta get ‘e choke’ copyrighted it’s getting outta hand.”
