The Council of Churches of Malaysia is shocked by former PM Muhyiddin Yassin accusing Christians of a Christianisation agenda in Malaysia.
“This statement is not only untrue but is irresponsible of a politician of his standing…” said General Secretary Rev Jonathan Yesudas.
This is over a video where Muhyiddin said don’t vote for PH for this reason.
“I saw a video of a group of Jews talking about Malaysia and praying for the country to fall into the hands of the opposition which was sponsoring these groups of Jews and Christians.”

Yesudas says such statements, carelessly uttered, have a tendency to create racial and religious tension and strife.
“It must be address by the authorities to ensure that such blatant disregard of the truth…are not condoned or repeated,” Yesudas added.
