Prosecutors say a third suspect is still at large.
The two men have been identified as 23-year-old Juwan Anderson and 23-year-old Say-Quan Pollack. Reports say that both men were scooped up in Bedford Stuyvesant and slapped with federal robbery charges, stemming from the July 24 church stick-up. As we previously reported, Bishop Whitehead was mid-sermon when he was forced to the ground and robbed.
The entire ordeal was even captured on the church’s livestream. Responding to the arrests, Bishop Whitehead said, “They caught the robbers, the ones that robbed my church July 24. I’m going to be the first to let you guys know that God is amazing.” In court, Bishop Whitehead said, “I forgive them. Now it’s time for justice. Me and my family and my church have suffered long enough.”
