Baby Kason has been found and returned safely to his family after days of a desperate search to find him.
Yesterday, we reported on the missing baby after he and his twin brother, Kason and Kyair, were both kidnapped while in their mother’s running car as she doordashed at a local Ohio restaurant. One twin was found hours after the abduction, but the other, unfortunately, was still missing. Police had a suspect, Nalah Jackson, on their radar since the search first began due to the woman reaching out to the mother and demanding money. After days of negotiation and frantically searching across states, Kason was found safely in Indianapolis. Jackson was arrested after police received over 3,000 tips about her whereabouts.
“My tears have turned to joy,” Fonda Thomas, grandmother of the twins said to The Columbus Dispatch. “This means everything,” Fonda Thomas said. “My grandsons’ get to open up their presents simultaneously. Not one alone, wishing that the other one was there. I’m so happy. I’m so grateful.”
An Ohio mother is in a desperate search to find one of her twin boys after both babies were kidnapped from her while she worked Doordash.
According to WBNS, on Monday night, the mother of the 5-month-old boys, Kason and Kyair, was Doordashing in Columbus, OH when Nalah Jackson reportedly hopped into her car and drove off with both of the boys inside. Frantically, the mother called police to track down her Black Honda Accord as well as posts on social media to alert any followers of the whereabouts of her twins.
Kyair was found safe at the Dayton International Airport early Tuesday morning. Kason remains missing and is believed to be in danger. Employees at the restaurant the mother was working at the time say they saw Jackson leave the store as soon as the mother arrived and hopped into the running vehicle. Police said during a press conference they are pleading with Jackson to return Kason to his mother.
“Please return Kason Thomas,” Columbus Police Chief Elaine Bryant said. “Thank you for returning Kyair. You’ve already shown us you can do the right thing.” Bryant said the department is doing everything they can to locate the missing baby. “Bringing him home safe is our number one priority,” Bryant said.
The mother has posted numerous photos of her son as well as hotlines and GofundMes to help with the search. We’re praying that Kason is returned safely.
