At least 32 people have died after a suspension bridge on the Machchhu river in Gujarat collapsed.
According to reports, 400 people were on the bridge at the time, with some 100 of them plunging into the river.
The tragedy comes just four days after the bridge, which is nearly a century-old, was reopened following repairs.
Officials says the bridge collapsed as it could not bear the weight of the people standing on it. A rescue operation is currently underway.
