Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Antony Starr said ‘fuck his life’ as he regretted doing his own Homelander stunts on Gen V while flying in the air.
Antony Starr, the force behind The Boys, swooped into the Gen V season finale recently for less than 90 seconds, yet managed to steal the spotlight effortlessly. A viral online video showcases his absolute ‘joy’ in tackling his stunts. Although his infectious enthusiasm speaks volumes about the effort he poured into that blink-and-you’ll-miss-it cameo, the kicker is, that he was left with a touch of regret after being dangled mid-air for a grand entrance!
In another tweet, Culture Crave quotes Starr speaking on how he regretted agreeing to do the stunt. “That’s the face of a man going way too high into the sky and really wishes he said ‘stunt guy can do it,'” he said. “Genuinely don’t know how the fuck I didn’t pee the suit. Or worse.”
Starr also shared some behind-the-scenes pictures from filming the season finale on his Instagram, with the caption: “Face of regret. The place I went that caused the regret….high…. The boss that also regretted putting his actor that high.” Despite the stunt, the actor says he “had a great time on Gen V with the younglings.”
The Amazon Prime franchise will continue with a fourth season of The Boys coming next year, with the show likely showing some repercussions of the events of Gen V. A second season of Gen V has also been greenlit, though it doesn’t have a release window yet.
Although as previously revealed, the actor only graced the screen for a few seconds, the work he put in is commendable. It took significant time to shoot the sequence that eventually stole the show and in this case, that means the filming of Homelander’s big entrance.
Understanding they wouldn’t get many chances to feature him or play with the script moving forward, as the show starts getting more intense, thus, the creative team quickly brought in Homelander to save the day.
