While on the red carpet, a female journalist, Amelia Dimoldenberg mispronounced Mescal and she was corrected by Andrew Scott. She then move further to ask Andrew Scott, if Paul Mescal, is a good kisser.
Andrew replied by saying: “Yes.”
The Normal People actor’s first film role came in Maggie Gyllenhaal’s 2021 directorial debut The Lost Daughter, starring Mescal, Johnson and Olivia Coleman as the lead.
Reuniting with Johnson for an Interview magazine feature, Mescal recalled being terrified before the moment came for him to kiss her.
“For anyone who was interested, I was s***ting myself. It was in The Lost Daughter, and for some reason, the first scene that we had to do was me kissing you. I was like, ‘What the f*** is going on?’” he said.
