Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Americans believe WaPo article on Kim Mulkey will be about her whereabouts during insurrection on Jan 6, 2021.

Former Baylor and current LSU women’s basketball coach Kim Mulkey is undoubtedly one of the greatest coaches the sport has ever seen.

In her 21-year tenure as the head coach at Baylor, Mulkey built a dynasty, winning three national titles in that span. Since making the move to return to her home state of Louisiana as the coach of the Tigers, she has revitalized the program, leading it to a No. 3 seed in the NCAA tournament in each of the last three seasons and capturing her fourth national title last spring, the first in program history for LSU.

But Mulkey, who is notoriously outspoken, is also no stranger to controversy. She’s found herself in quite a few over the years. Here are a few of the most notable recent moments from her 24-year coaching career.

Mulkey is in her third season at the helm of the LSU women’s basketball program, a position she has held since 2021.

The Tickfaw, Louisiana, native was a star guard at Louisiana Tech, where she helped lead the program to four Final Fours and two national titles: the AIAW championship in 1981, and the inaugural NCAA championship in 1982. She began her coaching career at Louisiana Tech as an assistant coach in 1985 before taking the Baylor head coaching job in 2000.

In so doing, Mulkey expanded interest in not only the story, but also herself from well beyond college basketball circles. Here’s what you need to know about Mulkey, the latest on the incident involving The Washington Post and more.
