Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Al Jazeera journalist, Wael Al-Dahdouh’s wife and 2 children murdered by Israeli airstrike in Gaza.
Al Jazeera broadcast live footage of the journalist crying as he saw his family lying dead in the morgue of a hospital.
He said: “What happened is clear, this is a series of targeted attacks on children, women and civilians.
“I was just reporting from Yarmouk about such an attack, and the Israeli raids have targeted many areas, including Nuseirat.
“We had our doubts that the Israeli occupation would not let these people go without punishing them. And sadly that is what happened. This is the ‘safe’ area that the occupation army spoke of.”
It comes after Reuters video journalist Issam Abdallah was killed in a missile attack in Gaza earlier this month. Al Jazeera reporters say that the Qatari network’s Gaza bureau chief Wael Dahdouh’s wife and three children have been killed in an Israeli airstrike.
There hasn’t been an Israeli confirmation of the strike.
Israel says its airstrikes are targeting Hamas terrorists and infrastructure, while recognizing that civilians are sometimes caught in the crossfire.
