Even after clarifying his controversial remarks about Nas, 21 Savage is still facing some backlash online. A few days ago, the Atlanta rapper claimed he didn’t “feel [Nas] is relevant. He just has a loyal fan base.”
After catching tons of backlash, 21 ended up clarifying his comments on Twitter. He tweeted, “I would never disrespect Nas or any legend who paved the way for me. Y’all be tryna take stuff and run with it [face palm emoji].” Well, comedian and actor Michael Rapaport took to his podcast and dragged 21 for his “disrespectful” comments.
Rapaport fired off, “Nas is not relevant? It shows in your work, 21 Savage. It’s so disrespectful.” He adds, “How dare you? To say that Nas isn’t relevant. And we see why you would think Nas isn’t relevant, 21 Savage. ‘Cause when we listen to your music, it shows that you’re not a big Nas fan. I hear it in your work. You’re like ‘Cat in the Hat.’ That’s the kind of rapper you are. ‘Cat in the Hat. Jumped over the bat. And he flipped and flapped. Yappity Yap.’”
