We previously reported about the tragic shooting death of 52-year-old Yolanda N’Gaojia, who was shot and killed while visiting her son’s grave. Well, according to the NY Post, an arrest has been made in connection to her murder and it looks like the suspect was a known enemy of her son!
Per the outlet, “Christian Lamar Weston, 17, is being held without bond in the fatal shooting of Yolanda N’Gaojia, 52, as she mourned her son Amir on what would have been his 22nd birthday, Killeen police said Saturday.” It’s important to note that another victim was also injured at the scene but suffered non-life threatening issues.
Yolanda’s ex-husband, Kineh N’Gaojia, previously stated that he couldn’t believe the news. “I have no words because I can’t believe this is real,” he explained. “This is stuff you see [in] movies but it has become our life. I can’t believe you are gone … how y’all gonna kill her on her Son birthday at his gravesite?”
Yolanda was visiting the grave of her son Amir on what would have been his 22nd birthday. Weston has been charged with murder and unlicensed carrying of a weapon. Kineh hopes he receives the death penalty.
