Twitter has reacted to the suspension of its operations in Nigeria. Now, Nigerians are able to access Twitter with the help of VPNs. In the afternoon on Saturday, AGF, Malami gave an order to arrest anyone who still uses Twitter, despite the suspension. (Read More Here).
Taking to its page, Twitter says its workers will work to restore access for all those in Nigeria who rely on Twitter to communicate and connect with the world.
The statement reads: “We are deeply concerned by the blocking of Twitter in Nigeria. Access to the free and #OpenInternet is an essential human right in modern society.
“We will work to restore access for all those in Nigeria who rely on Twitter to communicate and connect with the world. #KeepitOn.”
